    What is School Care?

    School Care covers the school properties
    including buildings & their contents, swimming pool, desks, computers & other electronic items.

    It also provides cover for accidental injury to students, teaching and non-teaching staff and third party liabilities including errors of commissions and omissions by officers and directors of the institution

    Comprehensive Property & Asset Safeguard – Covers school buildings, classrooms, dormitories, swimming pools, furniture, and IT equipment under Fire & Perils, Burglary (forced entry/exit), and Electronics All Risks.
    Student Personal Care & Direct Medical Support – Compensates students for accidental injuries or disabilities during school hours or activities. In emergency hospitalizations, medical expenses are paid directly to the facility or reimbursed swiftly.
    Statutory Staff Welfare (WIBA & Employers' Liability) – Fulfills legal requirements under the Work Injury Benefits Act (WIBA) for employee work injuries or illnesses (Death up to 96 months earnings max Kshs. 10M, medical up to Kshs. 100k, and funeral up to Kshs. 30k). Also includes Employers' Liability for negligence claims.
    Complete School Bus Fleet Protection – Covers institution vehicles against accidental damage, theft, natural risks, and malicious harm. Includes FREE Passenger Legal Liability (PLL) for students, free valuation, East Africa coverage, No Blame No Excess, and up to Kshs. 50,000 for towing, windshield, emergency medical, and alternator repairs.
    Directors & Officers (D&O) Protection – Protects institutional leadership against legal claims, defense costs, and court awards arising from operational errors, omissions, or alleged negligence (rated at 1.5% of desired limit).
    Public Liability & Political Violence / Terrorism Shield – Covers third-party injury claims on campus while providing optional property protection against terrorism, riots, sabotage, and political upheavals (at a low 0.1% rate of sum insured).
